NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC DIVER COURSE

As a National Geographic Diver, you join an elite group of explorers, adventurers, and conservationists. The insight and training you gain during this program will broaden your  awareness and take your diving skills to a new level. You値l learn to observe and explore like an underwater scientist. You値l discover new things even at familiar dive sites and hear about new adventures that await you on your next dive.

All divers are ambassadors to the underwater world, but as a National Geographic Diver, you値l understand why human stewardship of our water resources is crucial to the planet痴  future. You値l practice interacting with aquatic creatures and underwater habitats in non-obtrusive and positive ways.

This program is just the beginning of a lifelong journey of underwater exploration, dive adventures, and conservation efforts.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC DIVER UPGRADE

Your adventure begins with the National Geographic Diver certification, where you値l gain the knowledge and practical experience to live the diving life.

  • You値l learn basic dive skills and safety information through the PADI Open Water Diver course.
  • You値l be introduced to worldwide dive environments and opportunities by interacting with the National Geographic Diver Almanac and DVD.
  • You値l learn to fine-tune your buoyancy to hover easily and manoeuvre carefully through delicate aquatic habitats.
  • You値l learn how to observe your surroundings in order to get the best experience from each dive. You値l gain practical experience by gathering information and collecting images to create a visual representation of a dive site, detailing what you致e discovered through your observations.
  • You値l improve your navigation skills and ability to find your way around underwater by using a compass as well as natural references.
  • You値l be introduced to a multitude of aquatic species and be able to identify local plants and animals.

National Geographic Specialty Course

 

Most PADI Divers are fascinated with the aquatic world, which inspires them to learn more. Because you have already learned the theory and skills of diving, the National Geographic Portal gives you the opportunity to build on your dive experience to learn about new adventures, exploration and conservation opportunities.

The National Geographic Portal will help you take your dive experiences to a new level. How? You値l learn more about the world痴 oceans and waterways and discover details that will enhance your personal dive adventures.

During the National Geographic Portal, you値l take your exploration skills to an advanced level by collecting data to construct a visual representation of what you explored. This project may result in a map, graph, sketch, diagram, photo essay or video. You and your instructor will decide on your area of focus and plan your dive accordingly. You値l also gain navigational skills that will aid in the exploration process. Your exploration skills will give you a new appreciation for the aquatic environment and add enjoyment to each dive. You値l find yourself sharing your discoveries with other divers and becoming a true underwater ambassador.

Whether you are a certified PADI Diver or certified by another organization, you can take advantage of the National Geographic Portal. The National Geographic Portal consists of a knowledge review based on information from the National Geographic Diver Almanac and DVD. In addition, you'll fine-tune your buoyancy, navigation, exploration, and observation skills while on an open water dive.

National Geographic FAQ

 

      Question: I知 not a certified diver yet

      Answer: If you are taking a PADI course with us, you may add on this exciting program to your PADI diver course, for example, the PADI Open Water Diver, and the PADI Advance Open Water Diver. The dives required to earn the National Geographic Diver will be integrated into the PADI Diver course program.

     

      Question: I a certified diver 

      Answer: You値l only need to complete 2 open sea training dives to be a National Geographic Diver!

Question: What recognition do I get as a National Geographic Diver?   Answer: You値l receive a distinctive National Geographic Diver certification card. This card signifies that you have completed the program痴 knowledge and skill requirements, joining an elite group of divers. You will show this certification card any time you need dive services as you travel around seeking new dive adventures.

      Question: Who is eligible to become a National Geographic Diver?

      Answer: The program is open to beginners as well as the experienced diving enthusiast. Experienced divers can become National Geographic Divers by enrolling in the National Geographic Portal.
